Image Analysis Explorer Pro was designed to replace Image Analysis Explorer! After releasing IAE, I found that while it was useful and fairly modular, the speed and lack of more mundane features coupled with the size restriction was too much to make it useful as an "explorer".

Image Analysis Explorer Pro was born. It uses the Microsoft Vision SDK to greatly speed up operations, allow reading of JPEGs and other formats and make writing new filters and operations simple.

Note that IaePro does not use a 3rd party processing library like the Intel Image Processing Library (IPL). All filters and operations have complete source code available.

For programmers: the class-based approach that was used in IAE has been abandoned, since it was too limiting and really didn*t help all that much! Some filters will be done using classes to break down the functions and aid readability, some are written directly in the handlers, others still are written as functors. I*ll probably consolidate/rewrite how its all done at a later date.

This manual describes the structure, operation, and functions of the Open Source Computer Vision Library (OpenCV) for Intel? architecture. The OpenCV Library is mainly aimed at real time computer vision. Some example areas would be Human-Computer Interaction (HCI); Object Identification, Segmentation, and Recognition; Face Recognition; Gesture Recognition; Motion Tracking, Ego Motion, and Motion Understanding; Structure From Motion (SFM); and Mobile Robotics.

The OpenCV Library software package supports many functions whose performance can be significantly enhanced on the Intel? architecture (IA), particularly... The OpenCV Library is a collection of low-overhead, high-performance operations performed on images. This manual explains the OpenCV Library concepts as well as specific data type definitions and operation models used in the image processing domain. The manual also provides detailed descriptions of the functions included in the OpenCV Library software. This chapter introduces the OpenCV Library software and explains the organization of this manual.

LeavesRecognition is a neuronal network based java application/applet to recognize images of leaves accordingly to a previously trained Backpropagation Network.

The intention of this application is to give the user the ability to administrate a hierarchical list of leaf images, where he can performe some sort of edge detection to identify the individual tokens of every image. This tokens will then be the basis of the neuronal network calculations to make it possible to recognize a unknown leaf image and specify the species it belongs to.

The main purpose of this application/documentation should be to show that the outer frame of a leaf and a Backpropagation Network is enough to give a reasonable statement about the species it belongs to
